Seven Steps to a Flawless Fall

1. Buy just one thing with Fringe just so you don’t look like Rip Van Winkle.

One of the top fashion trends this fall is fringe- whether you choose to have fringe on a handbag, on a bootie or a necklace; channel a little boho chic to give your look some Fall freshness. Here are some ideas of how to incorporate the look into your wardrobe. And please, just wear ONE fringe item at a time!

2. Exfoliate!

I know we talked about exfoliating in the summer but it is actually more important as the weather begins to turn cooler. You want your serums and moisturizers to absorb into your skin so they can go to work for you- not just sit on the top of your skin. The best way to make sure your skin absorbs your skincare is to exfoliate so that your fresh “baby” skin is exposed and can absorb what you are putting onto it! Sometimes I actually just use baking soda made into a paste with a little water as my exfoliator. It’s super gentle and won’t irritate your skin; then I top it off with Genie Dream Cream. The delivery system in the Dream Cream formulation is designed to drive the moisture, peptides and all the other goodies into your skin. You will feel the instant hydration and you will see a miraculous difference in the texture and tone of your skin in just a few days.

3. Re-think your Foundation.

Switch to liquid! I always switch over from mineral foundation to liquid in the Fall because my skin needs the extra hydration…Genie Line Smoothing Foundation is perfect! It gives fantastic moisture for your skin as well as great lightweight coverage and even improves the look of your skin long term with Matrixyl 3000 peptides! This is why it took me 4 years to develop it! Contact Wendy at [email protected] and she will send you (at no charge) a color swatch sample of this foundation so you can give it a try and see what shade suits you best!

4. Hair Mask.

My hair takes a beating in the summer sun. My hair always looks a little tired by the time Fall rolls around. So give your hair a drink of hydration with a treatment. Ask your stylist about one or do one at home.

6. A quick, easy and inexpensive way to freshen up to your look?

Try a new nail color- no commitment, low cost and risk free! For anywhere from $5-$20 you can look like a fashion insider. Follow this link for some ideas on the new color trends for Fall – I’m going to try OPI Ruby Slipper and Revlon Fiery Temptress on my toes!

7. Give your home a re-fresh.

I live in Southern California so we don’t have a traditional Fall season. However, I get myself in a fall mood by changing the fragrance in my home. One of my favorites right now is Pumpkin Chai candles (A fragrant blend of wild pumpkin, spicy masala chai, cardamon, ginger and cinnamon) by Nest Fragrances. Or if you are a do it yourselfer (I don’t have the patience or the time) then boil orange peels, cinnamon sticks and cardamom pods on your stove!
